Confirm Conductivity on Any Grounding Product

Product Specifications (Quick Facts)

  • Power: CR1220 coin cell (included).
  • Use: conductivity / continuity check on grounding mats, sheets and cords.

A pocket-sized pen tester to quickly confirm continuity through a grounding product or cord before or after use.

Product features

  • Instant Continuity Check: touch the tip to the conductive surface of a sheet, mat, or cord — the LED lights up if continuity is present.
  • Peace of Mind: catch a broken or degraded connection early, before you unknowingly use a disconnected grounding product for weeks.
  • Recommended Routine: check periodically — e.g. monthly, or after a wash or house move when connectors are more likely to have been disturbed.
  • Scope: tests continuity on grounding products themselves (sheets, mats, cords) — not for verifying wall socket earthing; see our Socket Tester range for that.

Materials and care

  • Housing: durable plastic casing.
  • Battery: one CR1220 coin cell, included and pre-installed. When it eventually needs replacing, slide open the battery compartment cover, insert the new CR1220 with the + side matching the marking inside the compartment, then slide the cover closed.
  • Care: keep dry — avoid submerging or exposing to moisture; wipe with a dry cloth if needed. Store at room temperature, out of direct sunlight, when not in use.

Common Questions about Grounding

What is earthing and how does it work?

Earthing (also called grounding) is the practice of making direct conductive contact with the Earth's surface. The Earth carries a virtually limitless supply of negatively charged free electrons. When your body connects to the Earth — via bare skin on the ground or a grounding product indoors — these electrons flow into your body and act as natural antioxidants, neutralizing free radicals that drive inflammation and oxidative stress.

Is it safe to plug a grounding product into a wall socket?

Yes. Grounding products connect only to the earth (ground) pin of your wall socket — never to the live or neutral pins that carry electricity. A 100,000-Ohm (100 kΩ) resistor built into every cord allows the steady low-current flow of Earth electrons while completely blocking any hazardous electrical current, even in the event of a wiring fault.

Do I need direct skin contact to feel the benefits?

Yes, direct skin contact with the conductive surface of your grounding product is required for effective electron transfer. Even a thin layer of clothing reduces conductivity significantly. For best results, ensure the conductive area is touching bare skin.

How do I know my outlet has a working earth connection?

Use a simple socket tester (we stock them in our range) — it plugs directly into your outlet and uses a row of indicator lights to confirm whether the Live, Neutral, and Earth connections are all present and correctly wired. A proper earth connection is required for indoor grounding products to work.

How long does it take to notice results from grounding?

Many users report improved sleep quality and reduced tension within the first few nights. Clinical studies on cortisol normalisation show measurable hormonal shifts over 2–6 weeks of nightly grounded sleep. Inflammation markers in blood tests show change within days. Consistency is key — the more time grounded, the greater the cumulative benefit.
